H3Africa has released a new call for funding commented here in GenomeWeb. I have never before seen such an open door opportunity for development of African genomics. But is bittersweet as I work now at Harvard and the funds are for African located scientists. With a tight timeline for submission in January – and an announcement of only a few days ago – and with the summer break in full force in Africa its hard to see what might transpire.
